Sheffield BID Manager Appointed
The BID Board has appointed Diane Jarvis as the new Sheffield BID Manager who will lead on driving initiatives under the five key themes of the BID Business Plan; Together, Busier, Easier, Safer and Cleaner.
BID Board Chair James Prince, who is Managing Director of John Lewis says: “We are really pleased to have appointed somebody of Diane’s calibre; she will be a great addition to the team and I am confident that she will be a excellent representative for the levy payers. It has been an enjoyable experience setting up the BID and with Diane aboard, we look forward to progressing the Year One Action Plan.”
Diane says: “I was delighted to be chosen for this position and am excited to be able to contribute to the future of Sheffield City Centre. I feel an affinity and connection with the City as my career has brought me to Sheffield in a variety of roles for over ten years now.
“Much has already been achieved and I feel there is a real ‘wow’ factor to the City, particularly with the transformation of the Heart of the City. The redevelopment of The Moor, including the new public realm, has already started to upgrade our City Centre and has attracted new retailers – plus of course we have Sheffield Retail Quarter on the horizon.
“Rightly so Sheffield is ambitious and over the past decade I have witnessed a very strong determination within Sheffield to do business at a national and international level.
“Sheffield BID is about delivering change together, therefore I look forward to representing and working with BID levy payers in delivering the BID’s action plan. The BID will provide a powerful voice for all the businesses and organisations in the City Centre and one of my first priorities will be to engage with these businesses to understand their perspective and to ensure they have the opportunity to be heard.”Share this article
