Sheffield in Line for Night Time Economy Award

Sheffield City Centre has been nominated for another national award this year.

The Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) has nominated Sheffield for the award for Developing the Evening and Night-Time Economy. The ATCM is a membership organisation set up to help town and city centres reach their full potential. One of their main projects if the Purple Flag scheme. This is similar to the Green Flag for parks and Blue Flag for beaches and is awarded to city centres across the country who meet safety standards. Sheffield achieved Purple Flag status in 2012.

The annual ATCM awards aim to celebrate the hard work that its members have put in over the last year.

This nomination follows Sheffield’s recent success at the Best Bar None Awards where the city picked up two awards, Most Innovative Scheme and Best Overall Scheme.

The ATCM award ceremony will take place at Central Hall in Westminster on Tuesday 8th March 2016.
