Eat out for a fiver as Dine Sheffield returns

Foodies will be able to dine out from just a fiver at around 40 restaurants as Dine Sheffield returns to the city centre from 14 – 28 March.

Dine Sheffield is a celebration of the city centre’s booming dining scene, with cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs offering bespoke set menus for just £5, £10 or £15. Vouchers can be downloaded for free online and redeemed at around 40 restaurants during the city’s restaurant fortnight.

Delivered by Sheffield Business Improvement District (BID), Dine Sheffield celebrates the city’s food scene and aims to promote the dining options available in city centre. It is a flagship event of Alive After Five, the BID’s strategy to transform the early evening economy by promoting the fantastic food and drink, shopping and leisure available in the city centre from 5pm.

Inspired by New York’s Restaurant Week, Dine Sheffield champions the city centre’s diverse and vibrant dining scene. From much loved independents including Birdhouse Tea Bar and Kitchen, Sakushi, FirePit Rocks and Bungalows and Bears, to national chains like Revolucion de Cuba, The Botanist and Pieminister.

Make a day of it during Dine Sheffield and redeem your vouchers with Kollective Kitchen at Site Gallery, Ambulo at Millennium Gallery or The Light cinema. Or enjoy a night out in Sheffield city centre, with pool at Common Room, cocktails at Bamboo Kitchen or a pre-theatre meal at Crucible Corner.

Dine Sheffield has become a bi-annual event in Sheffield city centre, with more than 6,000 diners enjoying a meal out during 2018’s events.

Diane Jarvis, Sheffield BID Manager, said: “This is the fourth time Sheffield BID has brought Dine Sheffield to the city centre and it has become a real highlight on the foodie calendar.

“During Dine Sheffield thousands of diners visit Sheffield city centre to try out new restaurants or revisit an old favourite. This Dine Sheffield we have welcomed ten new restaurants to the event, a testament to Sheffield’s growing restaurant scene.

“Dine Sheffield is a flagship event of Sheffield BID’s Alive After Five strategy, which aims to invigorate the city centre’s early evening economy. Investment in the early evening economy from the hospitality sector is essential in creating a busy and welcoming city centre.”

With 40 restaurants taking part and more than 45 offers available, this is the biggest Dine Sheffield yet. Ten restaurants are taking part for the first time, giving diners more choice than ever before.
