New children’s arts and literature festival for Sheffield

On 24 February, Between The Lines, a new arts and literature festival for children, will take place in Sheffield city centre.

Both the Millennium Gallery and Sheffield Hallam University HUBS building will be transformed into places where kids can let their imaginations run wild, with unique, fun and engaging activities planned for little ones up to about 11 years old.

Author Christina Gabbitas will be hosting storytelling sessions, and poet Bernard Young will be performing poetry and hosting a poetry writing workshop at The HUBS. The Little Story Train will be hosting an interactive storytelling session, using song, actions and noises, followed by a craft relating to the story.

The Millennium Gallery will play host to fun activities and entertainment all day, including Peanut the Clown, salsa dancing, face painting, and arts and crafts stalls.

Between The Lines has been developed by a team of Event Management students from Sheffield Hallam University with support from Sheffield BID.

Between The Lines is a free festival, but you may need to register for some events. Head to the Between The Lines website for more details.
