Sheffield BID releases Experience Sheffield In The Summer guide
Sheffield BID has released Experience Sheffield in the Summer, a 32-page guidebook featuring things to do and places to visit in Sheffield in the summer time.
With Sheffield enjoying sunny days and light, warm evenings, the guidebook will help people enjoy the city centre in the summer. From Cliffhanger, Sheffield’s festival of the outdoors, to The Fringe at Tramlines and Sheffield By The Seaside, there are loads of exciting events to attend in Sheffield city centre during the warmer months.
Read the guide to find out more about the Sheffield Bricktropolis, a BID event which will see Sheffield transformed into a city of LEGO® bricks this summer as a stunning Brick Architecture trail of 21 world landmarks, including Sheffield’s City Hall, appears around the city. There will also be a building zone for kids and fringe events for grown up fans.
For football fans, there’s tips on where to watch the World Cup, for those who like street art, spend an afternoon discovering some of the city’s brightest walls. Dine al fresco in the city centre with picnic essentials from the Moor Market, or take inspiration from one of the city’s galleries, museums or theatres.
Read Experience Sheffield in the Summer to find out more about Sheffield by the Seaside, returning to the city centre from 26 July – 28 August. Bangers and Cash, the country’s first art road show banger rally will be showing off their artists’ bonnets in the Winter Garden before heading on a 1219 journey to Monte Carlo to raise money for Roundabout.
Diane Jarvis, Sheffield BID Manager, said: “This is the second instalment in our series of Experience Sheffield guides and promotes some of the fantastic things happening in the city during the summer months. Not only does the guide include things to do and places to visit but also some fashion tips and places to buy the latest trends”
“People can pick the guides up across the city centre for free. We hope Experience Sheffield in the Summer encourages people to get out there and enjoy the city centre in the sunshine.”
The BID has produced a number of guides to Sheffield including This Is Sheffield, This Is Sheffield In The Evening, a Christmas guide to the city and Experience Sheffield City Centre: An Independent Guide. More than 200,000 guides have been distributed across Sheffield as part of the BID’s aim to make Sheffield city centre busier.
