World-class cycling makes a welcome return to Sheffield city centre.

The Sheffield Grand Prix is back! 

The event, now in it’s 9th year, will once again be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Series attracting the UK’s top teams and riders to race around a new reworked 1.4km circuit.

17:00 Community Ride (30 minutes)

17:50 Youth A&B Boys Circuit Race (25 minutes)

18:35 Classic race start (40 minutes)

19:30 Women’s Elite Circuit Series (50 minutes)

20:30 Men’s Elite Circuit Series (50 minutes)

21:30 Sheffield Grand Prix & overall series podium presentations

23:00 Roads re-open

Road closures

To accommodate the Sheffield Grand Prix, there will be a number of road closures in place. Full details can be found on the official Sheffield Grand Prix website: Event Schedule - Sheffield Grand Prix (Scroll down to the 'Road Closure' section).

A new circuit for 2023

In a change from previous year's events, riders will start on Union Street (at Browns Sheffield) before following a route along the Peace Gardens, Pinstone Street, Surrey Street, Norfolk Street, Arundel Gate and Furnival Gate before returning to the finish line outside Browns Sheffield.
