Board membership (individual roles)

An opportunity for individuals to contribute to the governance and leadership of Sheffield BID

Sheffield BID is governed by a Board made up of individuals who bring experience, insight and local knowledge from across the city centre economy. 

Board members act in a personal capacity and do not formally represent their employer or organisation. Individuals employed by levy‑paying businesses may choose to put themselves forward for Board roles where they have relevant experience and an interest in supporting the city centre.

• Board membership is an individual role with legal and governance responsibilities
• Board members support the strategic direction, oversight and effective governance of the BID
• Participation is based on skills, experience and commitment, not organisational representation
• Board appointments follow a transparent process in line with governance requirements
• Board membership is separate from levy‑funded services and Company Membership, and does not affect the services available to levy‑paying businesses
