Five Director Designates and two new partner representatives are helping shape Sheffield BID's future leadership, strengthening governance and ensuring continuity for the years ahead.
Sheffield BID has announced a series of Board appointments following a recruitment and succession planning exercise designed to ensure continuity, strong governance and a smooth transition of leadership.
Five new Non-Executive Director Designates have been appointed and will formally join the Board in January 2027, while new representatives from Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Police have recently taken up their positions.
The following Director Designates will formally join the Board in January 2027:
- Victoria Firth, Chief Executive Officer, Showroom Workstation
- Chris Hood, Chief Executive Officer, Sheffield Futures
- Guy Morrell, Managing Director of IT Operations at British Business Bank plc
- David Savereux, Managing Director at Corporation Nightclub & Nivek Holdings
- Tracy Viner, Executive Manager (Policy & Public Impact), Sheffield Chamber of Commerce
The five incoming directors represent a diverse range of levy-paying businesses and organisations from across Sheffield city centre, bringing experience from the business, cultural, community and professional sectors.
The appointees have already begun their induction programme and are now serving as Director Designates. Over the coming months, they will shadow existing Board members, gaining an understanding of Sheffield BID's strategic priorities, governance arrangements and operations ahead of formally taking up their positions in January 2027.
In addition to the new Director Designates, Sheffield BID has recently welcomed newly appointed representatives from its public sector partners. Councillor Ben Miskell has joined the Board as Sheffield City Council's representative, while Superintendent Martin Simcock has been appointed to represent South Yorkshire Police.
The appointments follow a planned succession process ahead of a number of long-serving Board members completing their terms of office.
