Light Up Sheffield is one of Sheffield BID’s flagship interventions, designed to animate the city centre and support economic activity during the winter months. Using light installations, creative programming and partnerships, the project brings focus to key areas of the city centre, encouraging movement, visibility and engagement after dark.
Delivered on behalf of levy‑paying businesses, Light Up Sheffield supports footfall, the evening economy and city centre perception at a critical time of year. The programme reflects Sheffield BID’s role in coordinating collective investment - bringing together businesses, cultural partners and public services to deliver activity that no single organisation could achieve alone.
Light Up Sheffield returns January 2027.
