A new guide to after-work spots in Sheffield city centre has been published - and features two exciting new openings.
Sheffield BID has published the list of 24 places to eat and drink, try wellness experiences or enjoy leisure activities this month.
Among the hotspots included is Güs Sauna, a new Scandi-inspired sauna, ice bath and cafe experience on Cambridge Street. Former university pals Chris Jones and Robin Hemingway opened the doors to the bespoke wellness hub - which will offer unique guided sauna sessions - earlier this month.
Also featured is the new French cafe, wine bar and gourmet deli Aux Bon Vivant on Campo Lane. Chef Pierre Renault, who previously worked in a Michelin starred restaurant in France, opened the venture last month and has already introduced live music on Fridays.
Diane Jarvis, CEO of Sheffield BID, said: “This new guide is only a small snapshot of the lively and growing after-work scene in Sheffield city centre.
“We hope it will help people discover venues and activities to try once they log off for the day - including the many exciting new openings we are welcoming to the city centre.”
Sheffield BID’s work will continue for a third term after a successful ballot was held among city centre businesses last autumn. The business improvement district has been in place for a decade, and works to enhance the city centre for all who live, work and play there.
Diane added: “One of the themes for Sheffield BID’s next term is City Vibe focusing on inspirational events, campaigns and culture.
“This will encourage more people to visit our city centre and spark civic pride in what we have to offer.”
The new after work guide also includes running groups and art experiences. It highlights the diversity of Sheffield city centre’s hospitality scene, spotlighting venues with strong alcohol-free drink offers and hidden gems.
