June 2023 


10th | Quayside Market 🌊

The Quayside Market returns to Victoria Quays, Castlegate, for another full day of music, street food and market stalls.

14th-19th | Sheffield DocFest 🎞️ 

The UK’s leading documentary festival, Sheffield DocFest returns for its landmark 30th edition.

16th-24th | Migration Matters Festival πŸŽ‰

Celebrate 'sanctuary and vibrant arts' at a wide variety of city centre venues with the Migration Matters Festival

The biggest festival of its kind in the country, it brings together more than 60 events spanning music, theatre, art, cabaret, community and many local as well as international artists. 

All tickets are on a 'pay-as-you-feel basis'.

Multi-talented storyteller Rinkoo Barpaga brings his award-winning show about understanding his identity as a deaf Punjabi boy to Sheffield.

Sauti Sol |  The Leadmill | 23 June  

Sheffield is the only northern city which will host Sauti Sol, a Kenyan Afro pop band with a huge international following, on their world tour. They will be supported by northern R&B artist Rumbi Tauro for a night to remember!

17th | Armed Forces Day πŸŽ–

Sheffield city centre will host a veterans parade and ceremony to honour those who have served.

18th | Pollen 🌼 

Sheffield's very own 'inner-city' flower market, a monthly celebration of all things botanical.

Ten teams from across the country head for Sheffield Cathedral to compete for the Taylor Trophy.

A yearly event organised by the committee of LGBTSheff and held in the Peace Gardens.

19th | Sheffield Grand Prix  πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚️

The Sheffield Grand Prix is back! The event, now in it’s 9th year, will once again be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Series attracting the UK’s top teams and riders to race around a new reworked 1.4km circuit.

22nd-23rd | The Fringe at Tramlines 🎸 

Supported by Sheffield BID, The Fringe At Tramlines is a free programme of music and activities which takes places on the same weekend as the main Tramlines Festival. 

With live stages in outdoor spaces across the city centre and performances in many pubs, bars and music venues, The Fringe continues the Festival atmosphere beyond the main event.



22nd-28th: British Summer Championships 🏊 

Hundreds of the country's top swimmers descend on Ponds Forge for the British Summer Championship.

27th | Sheffield by the Seaside β›±οΈ

It's time to grab your buckets and spades as a bit of the seaside returns to the Peace Gardens just in time for summer 🌞

8th- 17th | Sheffield Heritage Open Days βš”οΈ

10 days of 'Sheffield history, architecture and culture'. The annual Heritage Open Days Festival is  coordinated by Sheffield Civic Trust.

23rd | Float Along Festival 2023 🌊

Making a welcome return, the Float Along Festival returns this September to deliver a diverse mix of post-punk, psychedelic rock, indie and alternative music. 

The festival will once again be hosted across a number of city centre venues including: Corporation, The Leadmill and Sidney & Matilda.

24th | Sheffield 10k 🎽

Starting and ending on Arundel Gate, the Run for All Sheffield 10k returns this September. Thousands of runners took part in 2022, joined by their friends and family, and it’s guaranteed to be bigger and better in 2023.

14th-29th | Bangers and Cash Exhibition - in support of Roundabout πŸŽ¨

Following the completion of the Bangers and Cash rally (14th-18th September), bonnet artwork from participating vehicles will be on display across a variety of city centre venues.

Celluloid Screams, Sheffield's Horror Film Festival, returns to the Showroom Cinema for its 15th anniversary.
