Sheffield BID celebrates excellence at Best Bar None Sheffield 2026 Awards

Sheffield BID hosted the Best Bar None Sheffield 2026 Awards earlier this week, bringing together the city’s hospitality sector for a gala dinner and awards ceremony at Sheffield City Hall.

The annual event marked the culmination of Sheffield BID’s Best Bar None scheme – a nationally recognised accreditation programme that supports higher standards of safety, management and customer care across the city’s licensed venues.

This year saw 56 venues achieve accreditation, with 18 venues recognised as winners or runners‑up across 13 categories, alongside the presentation of the prestigious Best Overall Venue award.

The awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of venue types, recognising operators who demonstrate outstanding performance in areas including responsible alcohol retailing, staff training, customer experience and partnership working.

Best Bar None remains a key part of Sheffield BID’s work to support a safe, welcoming and vibrant city centre at night, delivered in partnership with venues, South Yorkshire Police, Sheffield City Council and other stakeholders.

Speaking after the event, Chief Executive Diane Jarvis said:

“Best Bar None is one of our flagship schemes and reflects the professionalism, care and commitment shown by Sheffield’s hospitality operators. These awards are about recognising those venues who go above and beyond to keep customers safe while delivering high‑quality experiences.”

The evening also provided an opportunity to thank participating venues and partners for their continued commitment to raising standards and strengthening Sheffield’s night‑time economy.
