Sheffield BID has announced the appointment of three new Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to its Board, bringing a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to support the BID’s strategic vision for the city centre.
Joining the Board are Linda Goodacre, Caroline Hamilton, and Vina Khan - each bringing deep expertise from their respective fields in estates and facilities management, communications, and finance.
Linda Goodacre is Director of Estates & Facilities Management at the University of Sheffield. With over 35 years of experience in property and estates, Linda previously held senior roles at Barclays, including Head of Retail Strategy and Portfolio Execution. Her appointment is seen as a major asset to the BID.

"I’m delighted to join the Board of Sheffield BID at such a pivotal time. Through my role at the University of Sheffield, I have developed a strong appreciation for the city’s evolving landscape and the opportunities it presents. I look forward to bringing my experience across both private and public sector estates and facilities management to support the BID’s strategic objectives and the wider business community.”
Caroline Hamilton, a self-employed communications specialist, also joins the Board. With over 25 years of experience in corporate communications, Caroline has worked across public relations, crisis management, media, and copywriting. She now runs her own consultancy supporting clients across the corporate, public, and charity sectors.
Caroline Hamilton said:
"Sheffield BID plays an important role in the city, and I’m looking forward to supporting that, building on opportunities to help ensure a prosperous centre and strong business community."
Vina Khan, Director of Finance & Resources at Sheffield Museums Trust, brings extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning. Her previous roles include senior positions at the University of Sheffield and Finance Director for a national education charity. Vina has also served as Chair of the Audit Committee for Sheffield Futures.
Vina Khan said:
"I’m proud and thrilled to support the vital work of Sheffield BID in shaping a vibrant and successful city centre. Having called Sheffield home for over 40 years, I’m passionate about contributing my financial expertise to help unlock new opportunities, strengthen business relationships, and support a thriving local economy."
Tony Stacey, Chair of Sheffield BID, said:
"We’re thrilled to welcome Linda, Caroline, and Vina to the Board. Each brings a unique set of skills and experience that will be instrumental in helping us deliver on our ambitions for the city centre.
"Linda’s appointment, in particular, is a real coup for the BID - her leadership in estates and facilities management across major organisations will be a tremendous asset.
"Together, this new cohort strengthens our ability to drive positive change for the BID area."
These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for Sheffield BID as it looks ahead to a potential third term, continuing to champion the city centre’s growth, resilience, and long-term success.
