July 2023


14th-21st | University of Sheffield - Graduation ceremonies πŸŽ“

Undergraduate ceremonies taking place in July for those due to complete in June 2023.

15th | Sheffield Pinknic 🧑 

A yearly event organised by the committee of LGBTSheff and held in the Peace Gardens.

19th | Sheffield Grand Prix  πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚️

The Sheffield Grand Prix is back! 

The event, now in it’s 9th year, will once again be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Series attracting the UK’s top teams and riders to race around a new reworked 1.4km circuit.

21st-23rd | The Fringe at Tramlines 🎸 

Supported by Sheffield BID, The Fringe At Tramlines is a free programme of music and activities which takes places on the same weekend as the main Tramlines Festival. 

With live stages in outdoor spaces across the city centre and performances in many pubs, bars and music venues, The Fringe continues the Festival atmosphere beyond the main event.

22nd-28th: British Summer Championships 🏊 

Hundreds of the country's top swimmers descend on Ponds Forge for the British Summer Championship.

27th | Sheffield by the Seaside β›±οΈ

It's time to grab your buckets and spades as a bit of the seaside returns to the Peace Gardens just in time for summer 🌞

28th-29th | Together Too 🎭

Sheffield Theatres welcome you to Together Too, a programme of activity supporting creative projects across a number of local community groups in and around Sheffield.

29th | Craft & Flea 🧡

The ever-popular Craft + Flea returns to Sheffield Cathedral, a makers market that brings together 'talented, independent makers, designers, producers and collectors, each handpicked for their quality, on-trend products.'

August 2023

A new event for 2023, a c'elebration of Sheffield’s food and music - showcasing incredible independent vendors and artists' on the concourse of the train station πŸš‚

8th- 17th | Sheffield Heritage Open Days βš”οΈ

10 days of 'Sheffield history, architecture and culture'. 

The annual Heritage Open Days Festival is  coordinated by Sheffield Civic Trust.

23rd | Float Along Festival 2023 🌊

Making a welcome return, the Float Along Festival returns this September to deliver a diverse mix of post-punk, psychedelic rock, indie and alternative music. 

The festival will once again be hosted across a number of city centre venues including: Corporation, The Leadmill and Sidney & Matilda.Further information on the official event website: Float Along 🌊   

24th | Sheffield 10k 🎽

Starting and ending on Arundel Gate, the Run for All Sheffield 10k returns this September. Thousands of runners took part in 2022, joined by their friends and family, and it’s guaranteed to be bigger and better in 2023.

October 2023


13th-29th | Off the Shelf πŸ“š

Off the Shelf Festival of Words is one of the UK's largest literary festivals, bringing the best in local, national and international literary talent to Sheffield.

14th-29th | Bangers and Cash Exhibition - in support of Roundabout πŸŽ¨

Following the completion of the Bangers and Cash rally (14th-18th September), bonnet artwork from participating vehicles will be on display across a variety of city centre venues.

19th-22nd | Celluloid Screams 🎞️

Celluloid Screams, Sheffield's Horror Film Festival, returns to the Showroom Cinema for its 15th anniversary.
